Technical and applied subjects

This department started in 2008 following the introduction of computer studies.
It covers the following subject areas;
-Business studies
-Computer studies
These three subjects are optional. Upon joining form one, a student is expected to choose between Agriculture and Business studies. Computer studies are compulsory in both form one and form two classes. At the end of form two, one is expected to choose among the three subjects.

This department has four teachers namely;
1. Mr. Solomon Muraya who teaches Agriculture.
2. Ms Monica Mwaura teaching Computer studies.
3. Ms Eunice Maina teaching Agriculture.
4. Mr. Charles Wainaina teaching Business studies.

The performance of Agriculture and Business studies in the Kenya Certificate of Education [K.C.S.E.] has been progressive. For computer studies we expect the performance to be exceptional. This is so because the first class to sit for the exam will be in the year 2012.
